Look at this for a dramatic Stairway! The colour used is called “Down in the Nile”, which is from Valspar. It’s somewhere between slate gray, and blue grey, but it makes one hell of a feature!! Stairs like this will have every visitor talking.
Even though the colour is Valspar, the decorator had it matched into a product from a different brand, namely Tikkurila. The undercoat was Tikkurila Otex Akva, which is a water-based adhesion primer.
The topcoats were done in Tikkurila Helmi 30, which is a fully water-based satinwood. By using a good quality water-based product, the paint finish will never discolour.
